Wishlist

No small dogs.

I'd prefer a dog that's a year or two old, one with some house training.

One that doesn't mind couch potatoing it up during the day.

Not too much shedding.

Intelligent.

Color, gender, doesn't matter.

Friendly, but there's no need to worry about getting along with cats or children, as I have neither.

Hmmm...I wonder if such a dog exists...

If we didn't live in another country I'd offer you the dog we're looking after at the moment. It was an abandoned one we took in; affectionate and generally quite manageable. But we live in Australia. We have a family history of adopting stray animals. The tally is now 8 cats, three dogs, 2 kangaroos. (Young ones found beside their dead mothers on the road). But I should say:I found your blog when looking for people who like to read. If you enjoy fantasy, may I suggest one to try? "Outcasts Of Skagaray" is a fantasy adventure written to express my thoughts about neglect of children. If you want to check it out please go to www.threeswans.com.au and see the sample chapters. If you read it your comments would be welcomed. My blog is http://threeswans.blogspot.com if you want to visit.

My sister was looking into a greyhound for quite a while...I think the greyhound rescue/retired racers site you found may be the same organization she perused and wanted to support...

Such pretty dogs too...

Although I have heard of trans-continental dog adoption, I think it's probably best if puppy stayed with you--even I'M a little leery about 24 hours on a plane, and I would be a willing volunteer!

I'll be sure to check out your blog Andrew. Thanks for stopping by!
